Is it possible to rent a car without having to have the damage excess and the theft excess money blocked?

A security deposit will be held on your credit card. A basic insurance is included. Extra insurance you can decide yourself if you take it out or not.

I do not understand. When I read the Important Information, I see that I need to have on my card a deposit for theft and damage excess that will be blocked from my card until I return the car. My question is: can I rent a car without having to pay the damage excess and theft excess? And just to pay an insurance ?

No, there is always some form of deposit.

Then can I pay a cheaper deposit? Because what I read so far is almost 2000 euros ( damage plus theft excess)

Try some different cars or suppliers, the deposits can differ.
